Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information is handled when you use SADevToolBox, and how. The short version: the tools process your input in your browser, our server keeps the standard technical logs any website keeps, and third-party services are described below only where they are enabled.
1. Data you enter into the tools
The tools on this site are implemented in JavaScript that runs in your web browser. Text you type or paste, and files you open in a tool, are processed on your device. That input is not sent to our server by the tools, and we do not store it.
Some limits of this statement are worth being clear about:
- Your browser, operating system, extensions or network (for example a company proxy) are outside our control and may have their own data handling.
- If a future tool needs to process data on a server, its page will say so clearly before you use it.
- Copying results to your clipboard or downloading files happens on your device.
2. Information our server receives
Like any website, when your browser requests a page, stylesheet or script, our web server receives technical information such as your IP address, the address of the page requested, the date and time, your browser's user-agent string and the referring page. Web server software typically records this in log files, which are used to operate the site, diagnose errors and protect against abuse. These logs do not include the content you enter into tools.
3. Cookies and local storage
SADevToolBox itself does not use cookies for tracking and does not require an account. The site stores your light or dark theme choice in your browser's local storage so it is remembered on your next visit. You can clear it at any time through your browser settings.
4. Analytics
The site does not currently use a third-party analytics service.
5. Advertising
The site does not currently display third-party advertising.
6. Children
The site is intended for a general and professional audience and is not directed at children under 13.
7. Security
The site is designed to be served over HTTPS and uses security headers, including a Content Security Policy, to reduce the risk of malicious scripts. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security. We recommend that you do not paste live passwords, private keys or production access tokens into any website.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct or delete personal data held about you. Because the tools do not collect the content you enter, the only personal data we may hold is found in standard server logs and, where enabled, in the third-party services described above. To make a request, use the details on the contact page.
9. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when the site changes, for example when a new service is enabled. The date at the top of the page shows when it was last revised.
