UUIDs, GUIDs and passwords are generated with your browser's cryptographically secure random number generator (the Web Crypto API) rather than Math.random, so the values are suitable for real use.

The lorem ipsum and mock data generators help you build and test layouts, APIs and databases without using real customer data. Mock data is randomly generated and does not describe real people.

Are generated passwords stored anywhere?

No. Passwords are generated in your browser and are not transmitted or saved by this website.

Is a UUID the same as a GUID?

Essentially yes. GUID is Microsoft's name for the same 128-bit identifier standard. The tools differ in the output formats they offer.
